How Much is Zakat al-Fitra?

Zakat al-Fitra is calculated based on 3kg of a main staple food. Please choose one:

Is Paying Zakat al-Fitra Wajib (Obligatory)?

Yes — Zakat al-Fitra is wajib (obligatory) on behalf of every living person in your care.

When Should I Pay It?

You may deposit or allocate Zakat al-Fitra anytime from now.
It will remain in the IHIC account as a trust until it is distributed to the needy before Eid.

• The intention (niyyah) must be made on the night of Eid, stating that the money already set aside is for Zakat al-Fitra.
